Happy Friday! Working on literary agent query letter today and decided to take a break and share for a few hashtags. I enjoy trying to find interesting angles to shoot my photos because my furniture hasn't changed too much since I started posting on IG. I try to keep things interesting by moving around my wall decor without adding more nail holes. That can limit me as well as square footage for furniture and with two kids in college, I make do alot. As you may deduce, I love texture. This chair is a favorite of mine. The sides & back panels remind of burlap which I have a whole lotta love. It coordinates nicely with the bench\coffee table. Another love of mine are baskets & natural fiber rugs & wood signs as wall decor. I also love old vintage pieces such as the "shoo fly" mesh screen food cover as wall decor. Hi! I spent the morning rearranging furniture and making more space in my dining room. I think I'm liking the antique dresser in my living room. I painted it black a few years ago and have been thinking about going white, but not certain. Also I bought linen material and covered a winterish faux fur stool. Hi, everyone! Today was pretty productive! I have been reading my finished novel, tightening up the prose, fixing the format, and making sure there is continuity in the storyline & characterization. It feels good to get back to it again. The holidays & updating the house put my writing on hold. I may use these characters again in another novel. They seem to have more story to tell. (: My husband brought home a huge salad for me & I'm eating while I'm typing. Not good, I know. My sweet friends Cristina @justalittlesparkle_ and Caitlin @thisrusticcottage as well as M&I Ortiz @keystocasaortiz asked if I would share for the #instaangels #tuesdaydecorparade #kitchens This was a difficult one for me because my kitchen is small and in need of a makeover. Long story ~ my mother loved these cabinets and that has held me back from touching them. But we've just begun to pull up the carpeting so onward and upward. The kitchen is next on the to do list. I do love the coziness of the space and all the cabinet space it has, so much so, I have too many junk drawers. I love my #magnoliamarket #milkbox and #ikea silver wall clock and #mypotterybarn silver reproduction #wallphone and my #restorationhardware metal chairs. The silver and galvanized items updated the space quickly and inexpensively. My silver metal #kitchenaid 4 slice toaster and small oven also complements the decor and silver handles and drawer pulls.
